When a boat load of fishermen and women joined Harry May for a three hour deep sea fishing trip from Lyme Regis they didn’t know they were in for a very good morning’s sport.
Anchoring on some rocky ground two and a quarter miles south of the town in no time at all a specimen sized Black Bream was landed quickly followed by two more.
Said Harry “These are the first Bream landed in Lyme this year and with luck there should be plenty more right up until October.
In my view Black Bream are the best tasting fish we catch round here, great to catch , beautiful to look at and wonderful to eat……….. my favourites!!
