Hix Oyster & Fish House, Lyme Regis
Hix Oyster & Fish House overlooks the harbour in Lyme Regis and boasts the most stunning panoramic views across the Jurassic coast. This is easily one of the most picturesque spots to enjoy fresh British fish and seafood. The Fish House is an informal, light and airy dining room with simple white wooden tables and chairs with the added bonus of a large outdoor terrace, where we accept dogs.
Our focus is on sourcing and serving the best produce we can find and doing as little to it as possible so that you enjoy the real flavour of great British ingredients. We cure and smoke our own salmon and grow our own herbs in the Fish House garden.
If you fancy seeing your food being prepared and watching the chefs at work, book a seat at the popular Kitchen Table. You can also enjoy a pre-dinner drink in the kitchen at the ‘Shipwreck Bar’.
We cater for everyone at the Fish House. We always have a meat dish on for the ardent carnivore and a children’s and vegetarian menu is always available.
All our batter is made with gluten-free flour and we also offer gluten-free bread.
HIX Oyster and Fish House is located in Lister gardens at the top of Cobb Road. From the High Street cut through Langmoor Gardens (entrance next to the cinema) to avoid the hills.
The nearest car park is Holmbush with free parking every day after 6pm. We are dog-friendly, allowing dogs on the terrace. High chairs, booster seats and colouring books are available for our younger diners. We have full disabled access.
